Abstract: Of course, urban biodiversity is more restricted than biodiversity present outside. However, species able to adapt to such an environment, are able to thrive in this artificial habitat. Very often, they are free of predators and reach sometimes high density. With associated vectors, it could be possible to observe new epidemiological cycles emerging. A few examples chosen among invertebrates, mammals, birds and companion animals will put into light a few such situations. Hopefully, sanitary accidents are still rare.Of course, urban biodiversity is more restricted than biodiversity present outside.
