Title: RHOBTB1 (Rho-related BTB domain containing 1)
Author: Schenkova, Kristina; Cai, Shuo; Rivero, Francisco
Abstract: RhoBTB1 is one of the three members of the RhoBTB family. All RhoBTB proteins are characterized by a GTPase domain followed by a proline-rich region, a tandem of two BTB domains and a C-terminal putative RING finger domain. RHOBTB1 is a putative tumour suppressor gene. Expression of RHOBTB1 has been found decreased in diverse tumors including kidney, breast, stomach and colon cancers and head and neck squamous cell carcinomas. RhoBTB1 is a component of Cullin 3-dependent ubiquitin ligase complexes but its role in tumorigenesis is unknown.
