Répartition et nature des formes et formations quaternaires dans le Grand Luberon

Abstract

Au cours de l’année 2002, le Grand Luberon à fait l’objet d’une étude basée, en partie, sur une cartographie des formes et formations superficielles quaternaires ainsi que sur les potentialités de recherche dans le cadre d’un travail pluridisciplinaire ayant pour point de départ la géomorphologie et l’archéologie. Cette étude a mis en évidence la singularité du dispositif sédimentaire hérité du Grand Luberon et a permis de sélectionner plusieurs secteurs où les actions de recherche s’avèrent prioritaires.

During the year 2002, the Grand Luberon was subject to a study partly based on the cartography of quaternary forms and superficial deposits, but also on the potentiality of research within the scope of a pluridisciplinary work starting with geomorphology and archaeology. This study has brought to the fore the singularity of the sedimentary array inherited from the Grand Luberon, and also allowed to select several sectors where research actions are prioritary.
