Les auteurs décrivent 34 foyers d’Actinobacillose (Shigellose) équine étudiés pendant plus de trois ans sur des chevaux de différentes régions de France. Cette affection est due à Actinobacillus equuli mais on peut rencon trer Actinobacillus suis. Les formes classiques sont soit l’avortement chez les juments soit la septicémie et la mort chez le poulain nouveau-né avec néphrites et arthrites. Les poulains qui n’ont pas tété le colostrum sont les plus sensibles....
The authors describe 34 outbreaks of equine Actinobacillosis, they have studied during three years on horses of different countries in France. This affection is due to Actinobacillus equuli but sometimes to Actinobacillus suis. The clinical forms are abortion of the mares or septicemic and fatal disease of newborn foals with nephritis and arthritis.
